PUERTO RICO
In
the past, we had considered Puerto Rico a place to fly through on the
way to a more exotic island elsewhere in the Caribbean. Then,
after spending a week here in March of 2006, we learned that Puerto
Rico is truly a gem.
The main island has mangrove forests and plenty of beaches.
However, the true discovery on this trip was the little island of
Vieques just off the east coast of the main island. The beaches
here were all unique, and were largely deserted. At night, a swim
in the bioluminescent bay - where millions of one-celled organisms
light up in the water like tiny fireflies - was nothing short of
magical.
Our
photos are designed to capture the beauty of God's world. The
colors and images you see are not Photoshopped, but are just as they existed in nature at the
time the photos were taken.
